Say Anything 20 Years

What began as my thesis project to attain my undergraduate degree became an opportunity to design for internationally known band Say Anything. The band's sophomore album turns 20 years old in 2024; I chose to spend my senior year building a vinyl box set to commemorate the occasion. As I posted on social media, the band eventually had their managment team reach out to not only purchase many of the assets I created but also to comission nine billboards. On a turn around of only a weekend I built all 9 billboards and delivered them to the artist, each billboard ran for one week in the cities of Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Hollywood, Miami, Las Vegas, and New York City. The largest billboard (included below) stood 18 stories tall and measured 8500 sq ft across on the Express Screens in Times Square.

The logo for ...Is a Real Boy's 20th Anniversary. The albums themes of growth, death, rebirth and life are all reflected in the changing branches. a more mature take on the albums original Pinnochio motif.

ELDER EMO T-SHIRT DESIGN

An ownership of the popular term used to refer to fan's of the emo genre from the 2000's and early 2010's. Elder Emo acknowledges that they fans have matured 20 years since the original release of the album but have maintained their angsty edge.

DELUXE BOX SET DESIGN CONCEPT

The box set bears the Pinnochio nose motif from the original album artwork but it's sillhouetted in this custom saw blade; the saw blade represents self-destruction another theme from the album's content. the lacquered wood grain and gold-foiled accents are representative of both the maturing of the audience and the deluxe nature of the product

the Saw blade vinyl are unique and eye-catching, once again mimicking the theme of self destruction but also adding to the shelf appeal of this re-release.
