When BOYSLIKEGIRLS' management team approached me to design the poster for the bands 2024 Southeast Asia tour, they requested a poster design that was more inline with the aesthetic they'd used for their previous North American tour. Upon meeting with Johnson, lead singer and creative powerhouse behind the band aesthetically we came up with a more compelling direction. Inspired by Pepsi's 1988 International campaign featuring Michael Jackson we leaned heavily into the grid like layouts, gorgeous screenprint textures and high contrast color moments that made that campaign so memorable. Johnson wanted the posters to feature the local languages from the corresponding countries; working closely with translators we developed posters that worked well and were readible both in English and the given languages.
